The Black Cherry Bombshells
The Black Cherry Bombshells is © John Zito & Anthony Trovarello
Ultra-violent girl gangs fight for supremacy of a doomed future where all men have been mutated into flesh eating zombies. In Las Vegas the Black Cherry Bombshells, Led by the outcast Regina, are gaining a reputation as the baddest bootleggers in town. That doesn't sit well with a powerful, local crime boss; the woman they call 'The King.'

Hey Bombshells fans - thought you might like to know that the Bombshells colorist who hasn't exploded or died in a horrible gardening accident has his own entry this month at Zuda. Head on over to the competition, and check out Lasers Dragons and Lies. If you like what you see, a vote, a fave, some loving commentary, and a five star rating would be HUGELY appreciated.
But you all already know how this works.
Thanks. And Thanks to Johnny Zito and Tony Trov for allowing me to pimp my own wares over here.
Thanks all :D
Finally sat down and plowed through all 60 pages.
Its weird, as I was reading it I really appreciated how you guys packed so much into each screen. But when I got finished with page 60 it was like no time had passed at all. You created some kinda space-time paradox-rift in my head powered by the energy that emits from high concentrations of badass...well, everything!
I`m glad you`ve been able to share this story with us.
Congratulations on your 60 pages! You guys have really won me over.
Ariel, Light of Life.... my thoughts exactly.
Wait, that's the end?!? NO!!!! You cruel evil geniuses, you!
Good gracious!!! so now baby Godzilla's talking to Megan? And I thought I had mental issues. lol.
Can't wait for a new season, guys... but enjoy the vacation-ish break. Happy New Year!!!
*bites her nails in nervous anticipation*
Happy New Year, everyone!

Thanks for reading. Hope you dig the season finale :)
Style. This is the only Zuda property I can imagine on a line of T-Shirts for some reason. I can also imagine a second season.
This is off topic, but I just noticed that the letterer for this comic, Jaco is from Fredericton New Brunswick. Ever venture far enough out of town to run into Woodstock New Brsunwick Jaco? If so, check out my comic BLEED (www.zudacomics.com/node/945), you might recognize some scenery. ;)
I'm not trying to plug my comic, I'm just generally surprised to see someone from my neck of the woods on here.
PS: I really enjoy this comic, I'm midway through reading the whole thing right now. :)
Why is baby Godzilla on the rocks behind her?
BTW, no slight was intended toward the lettering. I meant to say that the letterer has brought his "A" game as well, but my phrasing (upon re-reading) didn't exactly come across.
There's a reason I draw instead of write for a living.
Thanks Albatross! I'm loving the effect of everyone bringing their A-game is having - top quality art and layouts requires me to up my coloring game, requires the lettering to just work with what's going on around it.
And of course, it all starts with Zito and Trov's writing and direction.
Tonytrov, I'm already your friend, like 4 or 5 times over. ;):)
the last few pages (and the whole comic) have been DELUXE, team!! can't wait to see how it all wraps up for season 1.

Re: Catty
You must be referring to the Sugar Dimples. However I think the coolest new gang are the Material Girls.
And is that a gang of French schoolgirls a la Madeline?
"But don't be afraid to improvise" - Something tells me that the body count is about to go through the roof... Hehe
But seriously... Regina with a crazy wicked secret master plan?
This comic just keeps getting better! Loving it.
@ Imperiused: Angel shoves a few innocent bystanders into the zombies' path to disrupt their training and bring the parade to a shocking halt.
hold on. I missed something. Why and how did the zombies just start eating people?
Page 54: Full Screen Option A MUST!
Very beautifully done art team. Rock on.
Ah Pipi, how I missed you! I wonder if those ghostly grenades are missing a couple ghostly pins?
Purple calamari, and Pipi ghosts. What's this world coming to? lol. Love it.
@David Gallaher - That's a-somnabotchin' right!
Page 52 is soooo farking creepy.
hey, people care if orphans die.... i think.
Page 51, "Fear and Loathing" is a new favorite of mine. Anyways, if you're in the Philly area come out on Dec 5th to see me, the Johns, and Kevin Colden!

Wine and cheese will be had.
@Bryy_Miller - Thanks for the coloring compliments.
Seriously though, if Sacha weren't providing artwork several orders of magnitude greater than when she started on this (seriously, go back and look at those first eight, she's gotten way comfortable in drawing this world), I wouldn't have much to work with.
Still loving the way this story is playing out, and the dialogue in particular. The placement of the speech bubbles on page 51 in the top right panel are a little confusing to follow though.
Colors continue to be amazing.
hedder - Thanks for the coloring compliments. There's not much I feel I can do with the night-time scenes, and I really get to cut loose with the crayons a few screens from now. Hope you continue to like the coloring work.
And Sacha's kicking all sorts of ass on the artwork as we go forward. I'm excited to see what others think of it.
This is so smart. Great colours and cool characters.
daaaaaang!!! nice vendetta, team!
Members of The King's Gang include; Slamazon, Penny Slain, Double down and Fiona Dareheart.

Along with Pipi and Megan they must have been a pretty formidable crew. Still are by the looks of it.
killing with cards? really? lol.
Oooh. I know I should just be patient, and I'll find out, but... what's the name of band-uniform chick? I love the hair-do.
Greetings from Bollywood!
Thanks for all the nice words everybody. Death ray and new gangs just in time for Thanksgiving. w00t!
Wow, things are getting twisted. Can't wait to see how this plays out.
I don't know, Barbeque. I like the art. I think too many web-comics have turned to this new, "realistic" style. The BCB's style allows for the bloodshed, without the gore. And I think the simplicity of it all helps it be more acceptable as a perfectly normal way of life. I, for one, am all for mandatory lesbianism (giggle). I'm no real comic critic, but I kinda stole my reasonings from a friend of mine who is a paid critic...
Of course. To each his own. Everyone has different preferences. But one way or another, welcome to the fan-club from the fan-girl side of the fence. (don't mind the "man" in bagelman. I'm all woman, baby.)
Now, which order to start this in, hmmm. Always good to finish on a high note so bad news first:
.
I really don't dig the art, just not my cup of tea at all. The good news is that the story kicks so much ass I forgive it completely and really rate this comic. Congratulations and a personal thanks for amusing me with great characters, a fast-paced plot and best of all, cracking dialogue. It really makes me want to draw the story. In fact, I'm gonna flip you some fan art sometime soon, that's how much of a raving fan-boy you've converted me in to. :)
rut ro, is Megan's secret finally going to be revealed?
A death ray? Really??!? Awesome!
Thanks Bagelman :D
Page 46 is heavily influenced by Adagio Teas' Apricot Green.
I'm with the King on this one "Bwa Ha Ha Ha Ha!" You guys never cease to amaze me. And whether that's a good thing, or a bad thing... well. that's for me to know. and you to find out. Death-Ray! *goes home grinning like a mad-woman*
That 3rd panel is brutal
wondered when the King was gonna show again.
THERE WILL BE BLOOD!
UNCALLED FOR!!! DEATH!!!
OH HOOOO BOY! RED IS GONNA SHUCK. FIT. UP.
